Great Online Stores! (that ship to Australia)

I am always asked how I manage to purchase cosmetics overseas from places like Sephora and Nordstrom who don't ship to Australia, most of you probably know by not that I use a mail forwarding service called Parcel It On, you can find a full review on the service HERE.

I know that mail forwarding services can be kind of scary and tricky to figure out the first time you use them and also that some people just aren't comfortable putting a large amount of money into someone elses hands. So just for you I have put together a list of my favourite online stores that do ship to Australia.

These are stores that I have purchase from many times, that I know sell authentic products and that have proven themselves to be great online stores.

HQHair sells hair products, obviously, but they also have nail polish, make up and skin care to boot! They stock a huge variety of products and ship from the UK, you also pay in GBP so be aware of that when looking at prices. Not only do they sell great brands at low prices but they also have free international shipping at all times - amazing! Also be aware that all electronics will come with British power plugs, you'll need

Favourites from this store:

I've purchased from Beauty Bay a few times when they have offered free international shipping but it seems that they have made this feature a permanent promotion, nothing beats free shipping! They stock a huge variety of brands, especially hair and skin care but the reason I love them is because of their variety of hot tools. Their prices are slightly higher than American prices but still have a lot of savings when compared to the Australian prices. BeautyBay also charges in GBP and is shipped from the UK, you'll need adaptors for electronic devices.

Favourites from this store:
Babyliss Pro
Too Faced
Urban Decay
Peter Thomas Roth

Great for all those bargain brands at even more bargain prices, you can get your NYX fix here at a great prices and they have a pretty good loyalty system also, you collect points as you spend and receive vouchers throughout the year. Shipping starts at $9.95 and builds depending on the weight of your purchase. I have purchased 50+ items (for myself and friends) and only paid about $30 shipping.

Favourites from this store:

This is your make up warehouse, stock is constantly changing and they stock cheap brands such as Maybelline and L'Oreal up to high end brands such as Chanel and YSL. You can find many discontinued items and shades here from a HUGE variety of brands (they have MAC bursting at the seams!) and you can find some absolute bargains on amazing products. I have purchased from this store countless times and never had a bad experience. Shipping starts at a hefty $14 and builds from their depending on weight.

Favourites from this store:
Bobbi Brown

This store is very similar to All Cosmetics Wholesale except it's not quite as packed with items. They sell cheaper than US prices and stock is constantly changing around. Shipping varied depending on weight but everything in the store is a bargain.

Favourites from this store:

I'm sure you all know who Marlena 'Make Up Geek' is but did you know she has a store? She stocks a few lesser known brands but also sells MAC pigment samples at super cheap prices ($2-$5). Samples are only a few grams each but this is enough to give you many applications. Much more affordable than buying full sized pigments that you are likely to never use up. Shipping starts at a super cheap $4 and builds on weight but still stays low.

Favourites from this store:
MAC Pigment Samples
Beauty Blender

I'm hesitant to put this store into the list but technically they do ship to Australia so I feel it deserves a place. They problem is that it is up to each brand whether they will ship to Australia or not. Some brands do, some brands don't. Either way, they sell some great brands at super discounted products and you can usually always find an extra 20% discount code. Shipping is $14.95 no matter how much you buy.

Favourites from this store:
Dr Brandt
Peter Thomas Roth

Tips for online shopping

  • When shipping isn't free, try and get a few friends who would like to place orders together to split the postal cost, you could end up having your items shipped for only a few dollars each.
  • Bulky items such as shampoo and conditioner will add weight too your order. If your shipping cost is based on weight, maybe think about whether you're impacting your savings too much with the cost of postage.
  • Don't break the bank! If postage is free, just buy a few things at a time.
  • Keep an eye on exchange rates and buy when the Australian dollar is a higher value for even more savings.

This is just a list of a few of my favourite online shopping websites, I'll be making a few of these posts with more stores in the next few weeks, keep an eye out!
